Barn Conversion

East Pennard

This recently completed barn obtained planning permission utilising policy DP22, a Council policy to promote the conversion of redundant rural buildings into dwellings.

The design retained a traditional appearance and proportion whilst adding a desirable oak framed gable extension to the front elevation in lieu of a dilapidated lean-to structure. Internally, vaulted ceilings and carefully selected views from windows create a contemporary yet calming environment that helps to ensure the building achieves a homely and welcoming feel.
